Malakai's story
Malakai was born on january 2nd of 2018. That makes him about 5

months old.
Vaccinated, Dew claws, Dewormed, had this month's heartworm tab
Per previous owner: Dog never was left alone. He loves bath time, Was not allowed on furniture, Loves car rides in a crate, chew toys and squeeky toys.
He is good at the veterinary clinic.
He will do best with someone who can be a Alpha Trainer
He has been around kids with no problems, but may still jump up on them or knock them down.
He has been good with other dogs but may irritate other dogs that do not want to be bothered. He just wants to get them to play.
Still jumps up on people and play bites. He will be needing some training to stop these habits before he gets bigger.
He know sit, stay, treat, shake. He is trained to stay on a rug while owner prepares his food. The owner would hold their hand out and dog will stay on rug until owner lowers their hand.
He goes to the door when he needs to go potty. He can hold it 8-12 hours but should be let out often. He still may have potty accidents, so you must be diligent with follow up potty training reinforcement.
He is crate trained and is crated at night.
Adoption fee: $400 Pure bred Siberian Husky Puppy. Not yet neutered (If he stays at CMACC long enough to be added to our next spay/neuter appointment, he will be neutered and the adoption fee will go up accordingly. If you adopt before he is neutered, you will need to sign a strict neuter contract.)
Our shelter uses adoption counselors instead of applications to find the perfect fit for both animals and their prospective new pet parents. Please stop in at the shelter between noon and 4 pm Monday-Friday to visit with an adoption counselor and have a chance to meet the available pets. If all goes well, you can adopt same day!
We do not take deposits to hold animals. Thank you!
Central Minnesota Animal Care and Control
1021 S. Benton Dr.
Sauk Rapids, MN 56379

Open noon to 4 pm, Monday-Friday
CLOSED weekends and holidays
We do not DNA test the animals before adoption, so we do not know actual breed(s) of the animals unless they come with proof of breed paperwork. (Any unaltered pet adoption will come with a strict spay/neuter policy)
Doggie 'meet and greets' with the resident dog are always encouraged pre-adoption. These meetings are NOT indicative of actual behavior once adopted and brought into a new home.
We always recommend caution when introducing animals in the home. WE NEVER RECOMMEND LEAVING YOUNG CHILDREN UNSUPERVISED WITH ANY ANIMAL. Because both animals and children are often unpredictable, we urge you to be caution when animals and children are together.
CMACC believes all dog families need to be prepared to invest time and energy into training as well as provide common sense management of their new dog. Many of the animals that come to our shelter were previously strays. We have no previous background info or vaccination or health history unless we vetted them, and the info is provided above. Most ages are approximate.
